Spirit of Daytona Scores Fourth Consecutive Front Row

Spirit of Daytona continues to show its muscle this season, earning its fourth consecutive front row starting position Friday at Watkins Glen. Antonio Garcia piloted the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Chevrolet-powered Coyote to a lap of 1:40.909 around the prestigious track's scenic 3.4-mile, 11-turn road course, just missing the pole by 0.218 seconds. Last week's winner at Lime Rock Park, the No. 10 SunTrust Racing DP earned the pole with a lap of 1:40.691 with the No. 01 Ganassi Racing DP rounding out the top 3.

"We continue to show our strong this car is," said Garcia, who earned the pole earlier this year at Barber. "We just need to finish one of these races and get that win. That's what this team deserves."

The Six Hours of the Glen will start at 1 p.m. ET Saturday, with SPEED beginning its coverage at 4 p.m. ET. Spirit of Daytona finished 3rd in this event one year ago, its lone DP podium to date.
